​An invitation
 
While the gallery, studio, gift shop at Shop 4 / 8 High Street, Maldon, will be a space for my own work, I’m also aiming to create a supportive environment for local and independent artists, musicians, authors and activists – this includes featuring an artist, author and band on a monthly rotation.
 
Would you be interested in being one of these featured artists?
A space will be available to display your work.
Artists: the space can accommodate a couple of large artworks, or around 6 x A3 size. ($120 per month)
Makers: one of 2 cabinets ($120 per month)
Bands/authors: a table to display books, vinyl, CDs, and other merchandise,
and your music will be played in store. ($50 per month)
There may also be the opportunity to run small workshops, signings, readings or talks.
  
To assist in choosing your month, here’s a summary of events that currently occur in Maldon (no doubt there are more that I don’t know about, and hopefully this current list grows, rather than diminishes) – November (Maldon Folk Festival – almost FULLY BOOKED, cabinet available), December (all the festive stuff), January (Twilight Festival), February (Antique fair), March (town garage sale), April (Easter Fair), June/July (Winter Festival), August (Goldfields Gothic Festival of Dark Ideas).
